Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) Schematic

The cornerstone of the Peerless Environmental Systems business is its Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems. As flue gases are combusted in industrial sources such as gas turbines and process furnaces, nitrogen oxide (NOx) is formed. Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is a post combustion nitrogen oxides control technology capable of achieving NOx reduction in excess of 95%.
The high NOx reductions are achieved by optimally distributing ammonia (NH3) based reagent into the flue stream, which then passes through layers of catalyst. The NH3 and NOx react on the surface of the catalyst forming harmless nitrogen (N2) and water (H20).
The Peerless SCR is adaptable to a wide range of temperatures (350F to over 1000F) and exhaust flow conditions. The Peerless SCR has been applied across various types of fuel including:
- Natural Gas
- Refinery Gas
- Coal
- Biomass
- Fuel Oils
Whatever your NOx emission challenge, Peerless can develop a fully integrated system that optimizes performance and minimizes life cycle cost.
