GREEN MACHINE
Industrial boiler owners are facing ever more stringent air pollution regulations, and the Green Machine by Peerless allows them to meet their NOx emission objectives. Green
Machine provides NOx reduction with minimal or no modifications to the existing boiler equipment or changes in the current boiler operation.
The Green Machine is a selective
catalytic reduction (SCR) system that can provide NOx reductions of 95% or higher, meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements. Peerless has applied this proven technology
on over 500 units, including nearly 50 firetube and watertube boilers. In short, Green Machine systematically disperses and evenly mixes ammonia with the boiler exhaust and
passes the combined stream over a catalyst, reducing NOx pollutants to harmless nitrogen and water.
Green Machine is integrated into the existing boiler controls and is adaptable
to a wide range of operating conditions. Given the NOx reduction capability of Green Machine, boilers with flue gas recirculation (FGR) can often eliminate this parasitic load
(and expense) thereby, improving operational stability and safety. Over time, eliminating the FGR alone can pay for Green Machine.
Peerless’ pre-engineered, standard sized Green
Machine fits a variety of boiler arrangements (both firetube and watertube) and provides for easy installation in either a horizontal or vertical configuration. Our Green Machine
is typically installed on the tail end of an existing boiler, requiring only modifications to the downstream ductwork. Peerless is the only call you have to make for your NOx reduction
projects. From design, engineering, manufacturing and auxiliary equipment, Peerless provides the complete solution.
Peerless’ unparalleled experience – from ammonia storage and
handling to vaporization, dilution, flow control, and injection combined with our vast selection of catalyst types – provides users a comprehensive NOx reduction solution. Our
in-house computational flow dynamic (CFD) modeling resources allow Peerless to optimize the system design for even the most complex arrangements. |
