Marine Filtration/Separation
Weather Louvers — These single-stage vane units are utilized as an initial moisture removal stage on ships and offshore platforms. Typical applications include: protection of HVAC ventilation intake and exhaust duct systems, "weather walls" to protect workspaces from sea spray and heavy rains, and as the first stage of multi-stage intake filtration systems.
As with all Peerless vanes, options exist to address different design variables like low pressure drop and heavy liquid loadings at a vast range of air flow velocities. These systems are available in stainless steel, aluminum, and our new composite material.
Composite Vanes
Peerless composite vanes are inherently non-corrosive and much lighter in weight than those featuring standard stainless steel construction. Our pull-truded vane profiles allow us to make vanes in almost any length necessary.
Air Intake Filtration Systems
- Single-Stage systems are compact, easy to install and maintain, and provide superior separation performance. Our vanes have been developed over the years with our in-house CFD analysis and tested extensively in our in-house R&D lab.
- Two-Stage systems incorporate filter coalescer panels in addition to a vane separator for better performance in the removal of small particles.
- Also see our Three-Stage systems, System 200 Turbine Inlet systems, or contact us for other solutions to your separation needs.

Composite Louver System
Our composite louvers provide a non-corrosive, lightweight weather louver with an optional radar cross section (RCS) feature. Our RCS louvers are qualified by the U.S. Navy. Our patented assembly system utilizes pull-truded profiles that are machined to form interlocking parts which are bonded together to form the desired size of the louver.
